We seek a
Principal Engineer, Thermal Management Systems
to design, analyze, and evaluate turbomachinery components, ensuring they meet industry standards and program requirements. The role involves working independently in a startup environment, with growth opportunities into team leadership as the organization expands. Key Responsibilities:
Fundamentals of heat transfer. Finite element analysis with ANSYS Workbench, including static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses, validated by hand calculations or simple models. Lead engine system, component, and rig test programs, including setting objectives, instrumentation, data collection, and validation. Serve as a subject matter expert in component design, ensuring durability and optimal trade-offs. Lead design reviews and coordinate across disciplines. Communicate significant issues promptly. Research and develop additive manufacturing technologies and methodologies. Maintain proper technical documentation. Work with suppliers on hardware procurement and quality issues. Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum 15 years of experience in gas turbine component design. Proficiency with CAD, ANSYS, and additive manufacturing design principles. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Strong communication and leadership skills. Proven problem-solving and program management abilities. Self-starter with the ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams. If interested, submit your resume.
