About The Role Life and Retirement is a franchise combining a broad portfolio of life insurance, retirement, and institutional products, delivered through a multichannel distribution network. It holds leading market positions across the U.S.

Responsibilities

Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years related experience in the retirement industry

Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal

Positive attitude and team player

High initiative and ability to work independently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Understanding of retirement plans; current CPC, QPA, or QKA designation required; experience with IRS EPCRS a plus

Project management skills for client requests, plan changes, and problem resolution

Ability to build relationships within and outside the organization

Strong decision-making skills

Deep understanding of plan provisions, DOL, IRS regulations, ERISA, and non-ERISA requirements

Consulting on plan design, compliance, and corrections

Support during IRS/DOL audits

Handle ad hoc compliance inquiries

Support strategic projects as SME

Skills And Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of IRC, DOL, ERISA, tax laws applicable to defined contribution plans

5+ years’ experience with administration of 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), Profit Sharing, Money Purchase plans

Excellent communication skills

Experience with plan sponsors, attorneys, and consultants

Proactive and results-driven

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred: CPC, QKA, CEBS, TGPC designations

Compensation The salary range is $60,000 to $80,000, depending on location, skills, and experience. The role may include a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Work Location Based in Houston, TX; Woodland Hills, CA; or Jersey City, NJ, with a hybrid work policy. Currently designated as remote.

Estimated Travel Minimal travel required.
