Product Manager
for Mechanical Circulatory Support, you will lead the organization and shape the future for the high‑critical HeartMate 3 LVAD System. You will regularly interface with the Abbott Heart Failure Executive Leadership team and field experts. You will act as a subject matter expert and change agent, leading fast-paced strategic projects with a patient-centric focus. What You’ll Work On Generate insights and recommendations that advance the strategy and roadmap for chronic mechanical circulatory support (MCS) products. Be the global launch lead for LVAD innovations; define launch plan, market access, pricing, distribution, sales force organization and promotion strategies. Understand business dynamics and competitive trends; proactively plan for potential impact on Abbott Heart Failure business in the category. Provide strong leadership and project management with clearly defined objectives and milestones; lead cross-functional teams to meet goals in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail. Act as voice of the customer on product development teams and translate unmet user needs into product requirements. Collaborate with product marketing to produce promotional and educational content; provide on-market product support to regional commercial teams. Perform complex business and financial analysis to yield actionable insights to grow the market, increase market share, sales and margin. Identify key business questions, formulate hypotheses, collect data, perform analysis and summarize conclusions with minimal guidance. Deliver proactive, transparent communications to executive leadership and matrix stakeholders. Required Qualifications B.A., B.S., or M.S. in a technical or scientific field preferred. At least 4 years of experience in healthcare (pharmaceuticals, diagnostics or devices). Track record of success in product management and launches, ideally in medical devices. Experience with ideation, development and launch of SaMD to HCPs and/or patients globally. Working knowledge of AI frameworks used in Product Development and ability to keep up with rapid advances. Robust analytical skills related to financial modeling and business analytics. Ability to execute independently and through others, proactively managing risks while delivering high-quality work. Curiosity, strong problem ownership, judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Strong communication skills; ability to inform and engage the Global Marketing organization and cross-functional partners. Intellectual agility to pivot with shifting priorities and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
