Senior Operations Analyst

will support the design, execution, reconstruction, and analysis of tactical exercise scenarios to meet program objectives. They will assist in developing Exercise Plans, Data Collection Plans, and supporting briefs, ensuring evaluation objectives, measures of effectiveness (MOEs), and measures of performance (MOPs) are clearly defined. During exercises, the analyst will observe operations, supervise data collection, and support coordination with participants. Post-exercise, they will conduct detailed reconstructions, develop performance analyses, and contribute to final, cross-exercise, and annual reports. Additionally, the Senior Operations Analyst will assist in identifying gaps and validating Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), ensuring findings directly inform future operations and capability development. includes: Ensuring the validity of MOEs/MOPs used to accurately quantify exercise results. Conducting statistical trend analysis on sensor, systems, weapon and countermeasure data to incorporate multiple exercise results and ascertain system performance and TTP effectiveness. Investigating the validity of probabilistic models and algorithms resident in proposed tactical decision aids. Ensuring the design and execution of M&S studies meet the specified objectives. Communicating exercise results in oral and written formats to representatives of naval commands, engineering labs, and program offices. Providing insight during ad hoc workshops and conferences and responding to statistical queries of systems performance. Supervising the performance of other analysts. We are looking for a professional with: An advanced degree (Master or higher) in applied mathematics, statistics, or operations research. A minimum of four years practical experience at a professional level in operations research, operations analysis, applied math, and / or statistics. Six years of experience is required in leading analysis teams. Possession of excellent analytical problem-solving skills. Experience in the use of analytical software tools such as Matlab, Statistical Analysis Software, and Microsoft Excel. Active Secret clearance or Secret eligibility.
