What You’ll Do
Lead & Inspire: Mentor and manage a talented culinary team, holding them to high standards of quality, excellence in food preparation, presentation, and consistency. Drive Culinary Excellence: Oversee recipe development, tastings, and consistency across large-scale events, ensuring every dish is memorable. Manage high-volume production for banquets and catered events, keeping workflows smooth and efficient. Own the Details: Manage prep lists, food purchasing, vendor relations, and inventory with precision to keep operations running seamlessly. Stay Ahead of the Curve: Innovate with recipes that balance modern trends and timeless classics—scalable for large banquets and intimate events alike. Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a culinary ambassador, partnering with sales, events, and operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Problem-Solve in Real Time: Stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly to last-minute changes, and always find solutions.
What We’re Looking For
Proven leadership experience in catering, banquets, hotels, or other high-volume culinary environments. Deep knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food costing. Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and presentation. A collaborative, supportive leadership style with the ability to inspire and hold teams accountable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with internal teams and external partners. Passion, creativity, and the drive to deliver exceptional experiences every time.
Physical Requirements
Constant standing and walking Occasional stooping, kneeling and crawling Occasional ascending or descending of ladders, stairs and/or ramps Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours per shift Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and rotation of the spine, elbows and wrists Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on a regular and continuing basis Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, i.e. case of wine, full ice buckets, etc Must be able to listen and speak, for both guest and team member interaction Constant use of POS/Computer systems Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
