Senior Project Manager and Technical Advisor – Black & Veatch. This is a staff, full-time opportunity focused on water and wastewater projects and programs across Texas and the central region. Lead major projects or programs from planning through construction. Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision-making. Oversee the program schedule and budget using internal processes and manage large inter-discipline teams of internal staff and subconsultants. Lead a team delivering technical solutions in water supply/treatment/distribution, wastewater collection/treatment, biosolids management, recycled water, water quality regulations and utility infrastructure systems. Provide recommendations on client’s processes, organization, and readiness to undertake major programs and alternative project delivery. Support the team’s use of risk-based assessments to develop and prioritize capital improvement programs. Provide project execution, quality control, and technical leadership to support large water and wastewater projects and programs and identify innovative solutions for municipalities and utilities. Lead and provide technical expertise to support marketing and business development. Support pursuit, proposal, and project interview activities. Work closely with Client Directors and the Area Director to develop relationships with clients and decision makers in Texas. Mentor professionals and grow the team by identifying high-quality candidates and recruits. Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas 20+ years of relevant water engineering experience including water and wastewater infrastructure planning, asset management, CIP optimization, detailed design, and construction Experience managing large water and wastewater programs and projects Knowledge of water and wastewater conveyance and treatment regulations Proficient with technical and thought leadership surrounding water and wastewater infrastructure systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort in a client-facing role Experience providing input and oversight of technical tasks and project teams performing studies and assessments Proficient with report writing and PowerPoint presentations Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a team and independently Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, as permitted by law Work Environment / Physical Demands

Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote Typical office and construction environments with conditions such as extreme weather, high noise, safety hazards, and exposure to chemicals Physical activities may include sitting, walking, talking, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, and handling up to 40 pounds Company Information
