Reporting to the President, the Vice President, Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities for Taber Extrusions, LLC, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs. As a key member of the Taber leadership team, the VP of Operations will work with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, and Human Resources to develop and manage Taber’s path to industry leadership while exceeding financial objectives. Key indicators of success include development of resources and execution of objectives. This position is full-time in Russellville with travel to Gulfport, MS. The VP, Operations will coordinate operational activities with sales, supply chain, engineering and product management, with Plant Managers in Russellville and Gulfport reporting to them. The role is responsible for approximately 185 operations staff across Russellville (100) and Gulfport (85). Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and communicate the strategic direction for Taber’s manufacturing operations aligned to Company objectives. Implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective support and execution. Lead a safety system and culture across all Taber locations to uphold a safety-first mindset. Implement LEAN manufacturing methodologies consistently across Taber. Continually improve operational KPIs using LEAN methodologies (Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events). Optimize assets to meet forecasted sales growth and reduce operating costs. Establish and administer the operations budget. Track and analyze key operational metrics; review metrics with the Executive Team. Establish best-in-class manufacturing processes across functional areas. Report on external market factors and help develop short and long-term plans. Leverage ERP and other systems to drive continuous improvements; stay informed on emerging operations management technologies. Lead the Operations team to meet cost and on-time delivery targets; drive cost savings through continuous improvement projects. Enforce Quality Management Standards (ISO, NADCAP) and ensure QMS procedures are followed. Integrate logistics across the Taber platform to optimize freight contracts, costs, and customer service. Manage MRO spend and procurement to meet quality requirements; drive vendor consolidation where necessary. Develop annual capital and maintenance budgets; implement preventive maintenance across locations. Oversee vendor selection and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage talent development for the operations team and foster a high-performance, accountable culture. Foster collaboration between Operations, Sales, and Customer Service to meet on-time delivery goals. Engage with Sales and Customer Service to ensure alignment with customer needs. Serve as a key member of the President’s leadership team and actively participate in running the business. Ideal Background

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 15+ years of progressive operational experience (5+ years in aluminum extrusion) with 10+ years of industrial/operational leadership experience in a multi-plant environment. BS or BA degree (Engineering preferred); Master’s degree a plus. Experience with aluminum extrusion and value-added capabilities. Aluminum casting experience a plus. Experience implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles. Experience implementing quality systems such as ISO and NADCAP. Strong analytical skills. Additional requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Thorough knowledge of lean principles and manufacturing best practices. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
