What You Will Do: Lead project management and process design for new water treatment facilities, lift stations, review existing water/wastewater treatment facilities, prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present your findings to clients and regulatory agencies Conduct business development and develop client relationships in the water/wastewater industry Independently evaluate, select, and apply various treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to optimize performance or ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and apply the results to water/wastewater treatment plant configurations Develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for senior drafting technicians Assess impact of changing DOH, EPA and MPCA regulations for specific client needs Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification of designs, proposal presentations, and business development activities What You Will Bring: A minimum of 7 years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering in areas such as evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing municipal and industrial water treatment facilities, lift stations, wastewater conveyance and water distribution systems. A minimum of 3 years of water or wastewater engineering project management experience A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering A current Minnesota PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work at a variety of locations The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with construction projects Excellent organizational and communications skills Preferred Experience: Experience in some or most of the following technical areas: water treatment process design, well and pump house design, water storage, pilot testing, process modeling, advanced oxidation Our Preferred Candidate Will Have: A Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Proven business development experience Experience mentoring, developing, and mentoring staff Benefits and Company Culture
