Job Summary Assist the Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve sales goals, control expenses, and protect assets.
Essential Job Functions
Meet and exceed sales goals
Assist in recruiting and training staff
Provide coaching and enforce policies
Implement company initiatives
Recognize and develop talented staff
Manage daily store operations in absence of Store Manager
Supervise loss prevention practices
Communicate store needs effectively
Resolve customer issues
Ensure a fun, full-service experience for customers
Complete bank deposits
Demonstrate Journeys culture
Job Requirements
Prior retail management experience preferred
6–12 months retail sales experience
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn
Completion of training programs or equivalent
Ability to work 45 hours per week, including nights and weekends
Ability to climb, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods
Must be at least 18 years old
