Overview

The Retail Supervisor assists the Retail Manager in all aspects of unit operations and floor management including staff, inventory, equipment, and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives. The Supervisor helps cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while ensuring all staff perform at a consistently high level. Responsibilities

Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times. Handle guests’ complaints and resolve them according to customer service standards. Monitor and supervise setup and maintenance of the retail area and cashier stations to ensure quality standards. Complete sales in POS in an accurate, efficient and friendly manner; assist clerks with same. Assist in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing the unit’s staff under the direction of the General Manager. Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor staff development. Maintain a safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of equipment, inventory, housekeeping, sanitation, cash control, dress, and employee hygiene. Notify the General Manager of unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues. Assist management with inventory procedures as directed. Receive and verify quantities of merchandise, organize and stock store, set displays. Perform opening and/or closing procedures. Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them to your manager. Assist the Retail Manager with Summer Adventure Operations and other duties as assigned. Skill and Knowledge Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor’s or Business Degree preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in retail. Demonstrated ability to interact with a wide variety of people. Ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities; work well as a team leader; problem-solve. Strong customer service abilities; proactively assists customers and coworkers. Physical and Mental Requirements

Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, including frequent movements within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach above shoulder height, or move in a changing environment. Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs regularly, 30-35 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Ability to stand for the entire work day and climb stairs regularly. Ability to withstand temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments. Reading and writing work-related documents in English; clear speech and comprehension of customers and coworkers in English. Constant verbal communication with other employees in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform duties. Equipment Used
