Logistics Warehouse Manager (EM7102)
– Samsung SDS America Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Position Summary: Samsung SDS plays a leading role in the global logistics market with unique logistics services. With its innovative IT technology, SDS developed the integrated logistics solution called "Cello" in 2010, started its logistics business in 2012 and expanded its logistics business with Business Process Outsourcing. The Logistics Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end movement and handling of goods within the warehouse to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. This role leads inbound, outbound, inventory, and reverse logistics operations while maintaining high service levels and operational excellence. The manager plays a key role in coordinating with internal teams and external partners to meet business and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination: Develop and execute daily and long-term plans for shipping, receiving, returns, and transportation; Align operational strategies with business goals and seasonal demand forecasts
Inbound Operations: Manage inbound schedules based on forecasts to ensure timely receipt of shipments without demurrage or detention; Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders for seamless unloading and put-away processes
Outbound & Transportation Management: Optimize outbound delivery processes by managing transportation routes, lead times, and carrier performance; Ensure on-time and cost-effective outbound shipments through effective communication with carriers and customers, in alignment with service-level agreements
Inventory Management: Oversee warehouse inventory control, including cycle counts and reconciliation; Maintain accurate stock records to support planning, fulfillment, and financial reporting
Returns Management: Lead the reverse logistics process including receipt, quality inspection, and disposition of returned goods; Implement procedures to streamline returns and reduce costs
Team Supervision and 3PL Management: Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to internal staff and 3PL partners; Monitor 3PL KPIs and enforce compliance with SLAs and company policies
Problem Solving and Operational Efficiency: Identify and resolve logistics bottlenecks and operational issues proactively; Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service quality
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze operational data and KPIs to assess performance and identify improvement areas; Generate and present regular reports to leadership on warehouse and logistics performance
OSHA Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable workplace safety standards; Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and enforce proper safety procedures; Train staff on warehouse safety protocols and emergency procedures
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free working environments to promote health and safety culture
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent experience required
8+ years of logistics experience required
3+ years of warehouse management experience required
KPI management, Inventory Slotting, Inventory Accuracy, Inventory Consistency, Inventory availability experience required
Experience and ability to work with Distribution Center, Supply Chain Team, Carriers to resolve inbound/outbound shipment issues
Ability to expedite emergency requests
Ability to analyze and report recommendations and results related to operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure timely ad-hoc reports and analyses
Ability to maintain building operations to comply with regulatory obligations, including OSHA and other government regulations
Work Location: 140 Prosperity Drive, Garden City, GA 31408 (Onsite)
Physical Demands
Able to walk, stand, or sit for long periods during the workday
Occasionally lift or move items up to 25-50 lbs
Comfortable with bending, reaching, climbing, or other basic physical movements
Use of hands for typing, paperwork, or light equipment handling
Able to work in warehouse conditions (temperature changes, noise, dust)
Good vision and hearing to perform daily tasks and communicate clearly
