Under the general direction of the Chief Psychiatrist (or the Chief Executive Officer when the Chief Psychiatrist is absent) and with close consultation of the Statewide Chief Psychiatrist, the Senior Psychiatrist Supervisor develops, oversees, and directs the quality and operations of Physician Services within psychiatry for the psychiatric treatment of individuals housed at Salinas Valley State Prison. Effective July 1, 2025, PLP 2025 requires certain employees to have base salary reductions and to receive PLP 2025 leave credits through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect these changes. Part-time and permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis. Please be advised of the following additional pay benefits individuals may be eligible for, including HAM authorization, recruitment and retention bonuses, and pay differentials related to direct patient care. Eligibility details apply and may include multiple thresholds and time-based criteria. A $10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend and monthly differential may be available for eligible employees, with an additional $5,000 monthly differential during the first year. Important: A $5,000 referral bonus may be available for CDCR/CCHCS employees who are selected for hire and remain employed for 90 days. A questionnaire must be completed during pre-employment with the referring employee’s details. Minimum Qualifications
