Technical Advisor

In this job, some of your primary duties will include: Oversee and guide the seamless transfer of technologies across teams, sites, or functions. Ensure alignment with engineering standards, operational readiness, and compliance requirements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology adoption and integration. Management Of Change (MoC) Coordination
Coordinate the MoC process for technical and operational changes, ensuring documentation, approvals, and stakeholder engagement. Maintain traceability and audit readiness for MoC activities. Function as a liaison between engineering, operations, and compliance teams to ensure smooth change implementation. Project Management & Execution
Drive cross-functional projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and progress reports. Facilitate regular project reviews and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Stakeholder & Executive Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, risks, and decisions. Prepare and deliver concise, high-impact communications to senior management and stakeholders. Translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences. Strategic Advisory & Continuous Improvement
Provide expert guidance on best practices, lessons learned, and process optimization. Monitor industry trends and internal performance metrics to recommend improvements. Foster a culture of proactive problem-solving and innovation. As a Technical Advisor, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. Collaborates with business stakeholders to define data requirements and translates business questions into analytical queries. Develops new processes with the goals of increasing productivity, reducing risk of system failure, promoting efficiency in workflow, and meeting or exceeding key operational performance targets. Updates and revises technical manuals based on policies and procedures, manufacturer information, industry standards and best practices. Provides input into the definition and documentation of the technical delivery policy, process, standards and documentation templates, collaborating with the product development team on product design and upgrades. Supports substation in creating goals for bill of material processing, setting monthly targets with support from transmission and distribution. Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems. Communicates status of projects and studies, assists with planning and scheduling, and ensures alignment of communications initiatives to meet business unit goals and overall strategy, including consistency in tone, message, and approach. Conducts data analysis to develop insights and identify trends from large datasets regarding substation package intake and processing. Lead major projects that have major financial or operational impact to the operating unit and/or company. Performs in-depth analysis, develops recommendations, and provides consulting to address customer and/or Company problems/issues which cross organizational boundaries and require thorough technical knowledge to resolve. A material job duty of all positions within the Company
is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications
Seven or more years of experience providing technical support. Experience defining data requirements and building analytical queries. Possess a valid Class C Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or other relevant discipline. MBA preferred. Certification in continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Yellow Belt, etc.). Project Management Certification. Understanding of Engineering principles. Experience in management of change principles. Experience in organizational change management methodologies. Experience creating and delivering presentations to senior leaders and stakeholders. Experience in developing and executing organizational strategies and objectives. Experience evaluating cross-functional performance in alignment with corporate goals. Experience working for a utility company. Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. California residency is required unless stated otherwise. Further details will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
