Project Manager / Project Architect – Chicago, IL at Northworks Architects & Planners. This full-time, in-office role is based in our Chicago office and is ideal for experienced designers who are ready to take ownership of projects, mentor junior team members, and work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, design-driven environment. Responsibilities
Independently manage projects through all design and construction phases Lead project coordination with consultants, clients, and internal teams Oversee design development, construction documentation, and quality control Support and mentor junior team members Communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders Collaborate with firm leadership and other studios to ensure design intent and firm standards are upheld Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in a professional architectural setting Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university Architectural licensure preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will be considered for the Project Manager title Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative across multiple projects Strong proficiency in Revit and experience producing high-quality construction documents Familiarity with Enscape, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of building codes, detailing, and construction methods Must be available to work full-time, in-person in our Chicago office Why Northworks – Chicago
