Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team. Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance. Customer Experience: Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service. Sales & Performance: Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets. Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations. Financial Management: Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth. Marketing & Community Engagement: Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers. Innovation & Problem-Solving: Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations. Other duties and projects as required. Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications. Minimum Requirements

Assistant Store Manager: Open availability, including hours to open and close the store (mornings, days, and nights). Minimum standard work week of 5 days; average 44 hours, with peaks during holidays. Supervisor: Availability during store hours (mornings, days, and nights). Minimum 5 days of availability; minimum 30-hour work week. All Management: Availability on weekends and holidays; punctuality and regular attendance; reliable transportation; clear English communication; reading/writing English and basic math for business reports; may relocate within the company network for operational needs. Physical Demands

Prolonged standing (about 5–14 hours per day). Extended hours during peak sale periods. Stocking, reaching, bending, climbing ladders as needed. Ability to lift 5–25 lbs regularly (weights may be higher in some cases). Good vision, including color differentiation; moderately noisy retail environment. Education

High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Assistant Manager pay range: $19.38 - $22.50 per hour with bonus opportunities in addition to base pay if store KPIs are met. Supervisor pay range: $20.31 per hour. All roles are eligible for the company 401K plan. Full-time roles qualify for medical, dental, vision, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off.
