Be among the first 25 applicants The Opportunity Tetra Tech is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Atlanta office. The successful candidate will provide technical engineering analysis and design for infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution systems, pipelines, pump stations, and wastewater collection systems. Discover your potential and leave a lasting legacy with Tetra Tech. Your Role Perform engineering design focused on water infrastructure and related facilities. Conduct site investigations and inspections, delivering detailed reports. Create design calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications. Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate across disciplines. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Support project execution from planning to final design and permitting. Provide technical support for water distribution, treatment, and sewer systems. Ensure accuracy, standard practices, and proper documentation. Assist with construction support activities like bid reviews and change orders. Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend modifications, and coordinate with the team. Assess engineering problems independently and suggest solutions. Manage and mentor junior staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Civil, Water Resource, or Environmental Engineering. 3-8 years of experience. PE license in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or ability to obtain in Georgia within 6 months. Strong communication, report writing, organization, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards. Experience with hydraulic modeling software, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit preferred. Experience in municipal infrastructure design and permitting. Valid driver’s license with a good record. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Periodic travel (~15% or more) may be required.
