Groundswell is looking for experienced technical Appian consultants to provide integrated architecture support for delivery teams and act as trusted advisors to clients. Architects help scale the business by providing expert guidance on solution delivery and designing and integrating cutting-edge Appian solutions into client architectures. Architects mentor delivery teams on best practices for advanced technical solutions and platform design, and implement internal processes and tools to improve business efficiencies. Who You’ll Be Collaborating With

Our Appian practice is led by Appian alumni with decades of experience delivering mission-critical Appian solutions at scale, leveraging award-winning solutions, component libraries, and foundations. You will team with a diverse, enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team of creative minds with a smart sense of humor. What You’ll Be Working On

Guide clients on architecture design, integration, scalability, configuration management, DevSecOps, and other program initiatives to drive technical success. Work with client enterprise architecture teams to design and deliver solutions that fit their unique needs and ecosystems. Guide implementation teams through complex technical solutions with Appian and related technologies. Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance. Integrate multi-tier architecture through integrations and system configuration. Evaluate emerging or incumbent technologies for value and fit in client or back-office implementations. Create and document implementation best practices as well as knowledge base articles for internal enablement. Provide thought leadership on process improvement. Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools. Mentorship, training, and enablement of resources. How You’ll Excel In Your Role

4+ years of experience with Appian solutions 5+ years of related IT experience Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area Active Appian Lead Certification Strong experience with Agile delivery Strong technical implementation skills Strong database design and development skills Experience evaluating and resolving issues found during system security testing Experience with Appian Cloud configuration and support processes Experience implementing Cloud, On-Premises, and Hybrid platform deployments Experience in network infrastructure concepts and troubleshooting techniques Strong communication skills, ability to convey complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing; active listening to gather information from internal and external partners; analytical and strategic foresight Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a high-paced environment, multi-task, and work both independently and in a team (team-building, courtesy, professionalism, and a proactive attitude) Hybrid position (on-site McLean VA / remote) U.S. Citizenship required (no dual citizenship) Active clearance or ability to become clearable Experience Working In The Following Technologies Required

RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) Authentication (e.g., SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP) Web services, Integrations and Middleware (e.g., RESTful/SOAP, Mule/IIB/Fusion) Cloud Computing/IaaS (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Source Control (e.g., Git, SVN, CVS) Software troubleshooting and performance tuning Experience Working In The Following Areas Is A PLUS

Programming/Scripting (e.g., Java, C++/C#, Perl, Python) Data management and data visualization/BI Content management (e.g., CMIS, Alfresco, OpenText) DevSecOps Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence Networking concepts Application Servers (e.g., JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere) Web Servers (e.g., Apache, IIS) Operating Systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server) Benefits
