Oracle . We are seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to join us in our mission to build the best change management tool for OCI. This is a high-impact opportunity to directly improve developer productivity at OCI scale, while promoting best practices around CI/CD methodologies. This tool would help build mechanisms enabling the organization to transition from an ITIL change model to a modern DevOps operating model. Responsibilities
As a member of the Change Engineering team, take an active role in designing and developing scalable solutions that focus on identifying and quantifying change, making them safer for OCI. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new services, mentoring engineers. Lead development initiatives enabling the transition from an ITIL change model to a DevOps operating model. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and tools, ensuring they align with OCI’s cloud strategy, compliance requirements, and advanced change management principles. Utilize deep expertise in software development to design and implement algorithms, data models, and automated workflows for safe and efficient change processes. Work with stakeholders to define and implement policies that align with industry best practices and compliance standards. Implement closed-loop mechanisms to continuously improve operational hygiene, leveraging software development skills to enhance change management workflows. Conduct comprehensive analysis of Oracle Cloud deployments, identifying and addressing operational risks through software-driven approaches. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating innovative software solutions into the development process to strengthen risk reduction strategies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of development experience. Proficient in Java and TypeScript with a focus on building robust and scalable full-stack solutions. Proven experience as a senior-level software developer with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for addressing operational challenges. Expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system development, with a deep understanding of distributed systems. Experience with CI/CD tools and best practices such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, etc. Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding and mentoring a team of developers. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 - $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
