Responsibilities

Manage and lead in a multiunit capacity, with the ability to multitask and direct a larger team across two store locations.

Provide and model best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, assist guests with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guest experience.

Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.

Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately and efficiently, including handling transactions and providing receipts.

Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; use the designated store phone greeting.

Promote GameStop\’s guest benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-in, and Pro Rewards programs.

Recruit, interview, hire, assess, develop, and retain high-performing associates.

Ensure associates complete onboarding, job training, and compliance training prior to opening or closing shifts; uphold policy, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial, and ethical standards.

Communicate with store associates and District Manager to implement store initiatives; set guest service expectations and train staff on policies and procedures; supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates, Retail Keyholders, and Assistant Store Managers.

Schedule store associates and manage staffing levels to ensure optimal guest service.

Approve payroll and manage time off requests; verify pay for time worked.

Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document performance in HR systems as required.

Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order.

Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily.

Conduct store inventory counts, stock/replenish merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor.

Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; conduct safety checks and manage bank deposits as required.

Lead the store team to meet or exceed sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative duties.

Balance and reconcile daily transactions in the POS system; prepare closeout paperwork and ensure adequate cash on hand.

Verify shipments for discrepancies and conduct counts; communicate issues to the District Manager.

Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately; label boxes with packing lists.

Maintain safety awareness and promptly address hazards; report injuries per guidelines.

Maintain organized store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date.

Build professional partnerships with appropriate military personnel when located on a military base (if applicable).

Adhere to GameStop policies and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.

Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.

At least 1 year of retail management experience required.

At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management/leadership experience preferred.

Video game knowledge preferred.

Ability to work full-time with flexibility for extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Ability to stand, move, and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 30 lbs, climbing ladders, etc.).

Working understanding of military ranks and insignia if located on a military base (where applicable).

Benefits and Compensation Benefits: Full-time store positions may participate in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Bonus or other incentives may apply.

Compensation: $16.00 - $24.00
