Cloud Architect
to join our platform engineering squad. The squad’s goal is to manage public cloud, improve DevOps practices, and monitor Versana’s real-time syndicated loan data platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure cloud services, cloud-native applications, distributed computing, Infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability tools and practices. Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, development, documentation, and ongoing optimization of cloud standards, methodologies, and operational processes. Design, implement, and administer Azure EntraID, ensuring robust identity and access management across the organization. Oversee the deployment and management of Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions to streamline and secure authentication processes. Proactively monitor cloud environments, develop incident response strategies, and establish observability frameworks to provide actionable insights into system performance and reliability. Utilize observability and event management practices to improve incident management KPIs, including reducing mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to restore (MTTR). Foster cross-functional collaboration to evolve the organization’s cloud adoption roadmap and strategy. Research and assess emerging technologies to drive business value and maintain a competitive edge. Analyze and manage cloud costs, providing accurate forecasting and optimization recommendations. Provide expert support for cloud infrastructure upgrades and releases, including participation in scheduled weekend maintenance windows. Lead the planning, implementation, and validation of disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity and resilience. Qualifications
Must Haves
— 5+ years of experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, networking, and cloud architecture principles. Deep knowledge of Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts and platforms. 3+ years of experience with public cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP). 3+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform. 2+ years of experience in at least one programming language (Bash, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, or .NET). 2+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). 1+ years of experience in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Experience with messaging services (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, etc.). Good understanding of Linux. Nice to Haves
— Azure cloud certifications; experience with Azure AD B2C. Compensation
