EPIC Application Coordinator - Ambulatory

at Piedmont. Responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical and/or revenue cycle applications. The role requires obtaining the appropriate Epic certification and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality and the clinical or revenue cycle workflows to be implemented on the system. The Application Coordinator may be on-call periodically on a 24/7 basis to provide tier III level support of the Epic clinical and/or revenue cycle applications. This position is responsible for implementing configuration changes to the Epic system as approved by the appropriate committee. They design future-state workflows with clinical/financial department representatives and build the system to support the new workflow. The Application Coordinator collaborates with interdisciplinary workgroups to achieve these goals and represents the Information Services team, establishing and maintaining critical business relationships with Piedmont coworkers, physicians, and all users of the Epic application suite. Responsibilities

Design, build, test, validate, and support clinical and/or revenue cycle applications. Obtain and maintain Epic certification; maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality and workflow requirements. Be on-call periodically on a 24/7 basis to provide tier III level support for Epic applications. Implement configuration changes to the Epic system as approved by the appropriate committee. Collaborate with clinical and financial department representatives to design future-state workflows and build the system to support them. Work with interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish goals as a team. Maintain relationships with Piedmont co-workers, physicians, and other users of the Epic application suite. Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree or current clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory, or related field is required; in lieu of degree or licensure, four years of experience in business administration, information technology, science, healthcare, or related field. Minimum Experience Required:

Three years of healthcare or IT experience, including one year of EMR/Epic application experience. If no degree/licensure, a total of seven years of experience. Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law:

None. Additional Qualifications:

Current Epic certification is required. One year of direct experience with Epic applications in a clinical or IS field is preferred. Details
