Overview
Wealth Management Advisor (WMA) is the investment planning and investment and insurance products lead on the Wealth Management Team. The WMA facilitates the delivery of strategies and capabilities including portfolio management, trust administration, investment advisory and insurance. WMAs partner with the team to understand clients’ goals and construct goals-based investment portfolios. They advise clients using U.S. Bank's Asset Management Group (AMG) or U.S. Bancorp Investment's open architecture to deliver economic and market views, investment strategy, research and due diligence, and portfolio construction for tailored investment management and insurance services based on each client’s situation.
Responsibilities
Lead investment planning and delivery of investment and insurance strategies.
Develop tailored goals-based investment portfolios based on clients’ objectives.
Collaborate with AMG or open-architecture partners to provide research, due diligence, and portfolio construction.
Assist clients and families in achieving financial goals through comprehensive planning support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of experience in a financial sales position, preferably with the affluent client segment
FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 license, and applicable state insurance license
Preferred Skills/Experience
Knowledge of financial planning (goals-based planning, asset allocation, retirement planning, education funding)
Knowledge of the securities industry, including U.S. Bancorp Investments and investment/insurance products
Understanding of private banking products and services, including credit processes and policies
Ability to present investment strategies effectively and maintain a holistic planning approach
Strong relationship management, sales and new business development skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with desktop planning tools and related software
