Senior Tax Accountant

This position is a member of the Lund Asset Management Group (LAMG) and is responsible for preparing business entity, trust and individual income tax returns, financial accounting and reporting, and cash flow analysis for the organization and shareholders. This position assists with fixed asset accounting, general tax and financial planning, projections, analysis and research. Starting compensation for this role will be $80,000-$113,000 depending upon experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide assistance to all Lunds & Byerlys team members modeling company customer service standards at all times Prepare, review and file income tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance Engage in general tax and financial planning and analysis including research activities Assist with fixed asset classifications for tax purposes Prepare, review, and file 1099's Assist with sales tax compliance and audit matters Perform regulatory research for income tax, sales tax, liquor licenses and tobacco license applications Act as the subject matter expert and owner of EIN maintenance and processing Manage accounts related to banking and brokerage for business entities, shareholders, and trusts Act as the financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis liaison as it relates to investments managed by outside third parties Provide shareholders assistance by performing services as needed for cash management, gifting, charitable contributions, mortgage financing, bookkeeping, payroll, payroll tax compliance, and college savings plans Ensure all accounting and tax software is current, licensed and working effectively and efficiently Manage all records in a compliant and secure manner Manage all new filings, renewals and terminations with the Secretary of State Registrations office Assist with projections and remittance of estimated tax payments for entities, shareholders and trusts Assist with real estate tax matters, payments and appeals Other Job Duties
Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration or equivalent experience and knowledge Licensing: CPA preferred Experience: Four or more years of experience, preferably in public accounting and/or pass-through entity tax Experience with tax compliance software (UltraTax preferred) Experience with Quickbooks software LFHI Competencies expected of all employees include action oriented, communicates effectively, customer focus and instills trust Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor; a working knowledge of tax regulations and tax software applications; ability to communicate effectively; computer skills to effectively receive, process, and communicate relevant information; ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects; computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word); demonstrated organizational skills; strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English Compensation Disclaimer The actual rate of pay offered within the range may depend on several factors such as skills, knowledge, expertise, and experience.
