Commercial Account Manager - Healthcare Liability

Overview
Alera Group is looking for an Account Manager for their Healthcare Liability division. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team. Experience in Healthcare Liability is highly preferred.

We are passionate about our clients’ success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. Responsibilities
Managing renewal process of an assigned and growing book of business.
Entering customer and policy data into the agency management system.
Building and maintaining relationships with carrier partners, doctors, medical firms, front office staff, and personnel in other Alera firms.
Marketing renewals and understanding the products of our strategic carrier partners.
Reviewing policies, processing change requests, following up with carriers, reviewing endorsements, and invoicing clients.
Building proficiency in Medical Malpractice Liability Insurance and other ancillary liability lines.
Handling small to middle market accounts.
Understanding laws and requirement differences between various states as it pertains to patient compensation funds, state limits, tail coverage, and other ancillary requirements.
Using AMS360, Microsoft Office Suite, COI generator, and other Alera HCL tools.
Managing ad hoc tasks related to account maintenance as required.
Qualifications
High School diploma or higher
Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills
Active Property & Casualty License
Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivated
Minimum 5+ years of work experience in customer service
3+ years of relevant insurance experience
Strong proficiency in MS Office software
Experience with AMS360 is a plus
Additional Information This job is expected to be performed on-site in the office.
