A Brief Overview
This role focuses on capturing and understanding business requirements at a user story level. You will participate in an Agile team, collaborate with Product Owners, SMEs, and business teams, and define process and product improvements. You will help gather information for decision-making, collaborate on test case development, and maintain business artifacts.
What will you do?
Analysis and Design:
Analyze new or revised business processes and software solutions, determine requirements, and work with Product Owners to identify development activities.
User Stories:
Create and maintain user stories, determine sizing, and develop acceptance criteria, ensuring accuracy for development and testing.
Communication:
Interact with business partners at all levels to gather requirements, troubleshoot, and propose enhancements, communicating technical and operational specifications.
Documentation:
Maintain requirements, business rules, procedures, and user manuals as needed.
Testing:
Collaborate on test case creation, assist with test plans, and work with QA and engineers on bugs and demos.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience
Three+ years relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge
Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Insurance products, coverages, and rating schemes
Computer and data manipulation software
Preferred Knowledge
Property casualty rating, policy coverages, endorsements
Business analysis or project management
Continuous delivery and integration tools (DevOps, JIRA, Rally)
Testing methods, SQL knowledge
Required Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Proficiency in computer use, testing, documentation
Ability to write and analyze User Stories, Test Cases, Acceptance Criteria
Problem-solving, team facilitation, interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, manage time, handle multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality
Research, evaluate, and make recommendations
