The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) to join our team at AWS. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions. You'll be a key player in the pre-sales process, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's cloud journey. Responsibilities

Design complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs). Provide technical guidance and best practices during pre-sales and implementation phases. Collaborate with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable. Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies. Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts. 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, designing and implementing cloud solutions. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. Strong hands-on development experience with modern programming (e.g., Python, Java) and data technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis). 3+ years of AWS service suite, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), security tools and frameworks, and compliance automation tool experience. Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph. Qualifications

Advanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional). Deep understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies. Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences as part of pre-sales motion. Experience in technical pre-sales and mission-focused solution architecture, with demonstrated ability to drive revenue through technical leadership. Previous experience supporting federal/defense customers with complex enterprise cloud migrations and modernization initiatives, including classified environments. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of a total compensation package. This position will remain posted until filled.
