This is your chance to be a part of a dynamic team to build computing solutions to run any customer workload in the cloud. We are seeking a senior software engineer to help build the next generation compute imaging platform powering OCI’s services. Our team is responsible for the delivery of hardened, secure and compliant images and tooling. This is your chance to work at a critical foundational layer of the cloud, spanning all systems and teams across the organization. We are a fast-moving team leveraging new technologies to improve the stability, reliability, and performance of the cloud platform. Role summary:

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will be responsible for using your software engineering and systems skills to further automate and enhance the build, test, customization and delivery of compute images and associated tools and services at a global scale. The ideal candidate will drive design and delivery of new features, drive operational excellence and raise the bar for engineering and ops practices. Responsibilities

Design and develop software solutions to support imaging pipeline and tooling Write and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and solutions Participate in design and code reviews Proactively suggest and implement service improvements Participate in on-call rotation to support the team’s services and resolve issues within defined SLA Minimum Qualifications

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience 6+ years of software development experience 2+ years of experience with Linux system administration and configuration Proficiency in two or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Golang, shell scripting Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Linux security hardening and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, CIS, FedRAMP, NIST in software systems Experience delivering server configuration management at scale Experience building CI/CD pipelines Qualifications
