Overview
IT Business Analyst role at Teichert. This position will begin as a contract role, with the potential to transition to regular full-time employment based on performance and business needs. This is a leveled position. The selected candidate will be hired into the level that best matches their background and experience. Purpose: understand business work processes and provide the right digital (IT systems and Data Analytics) capabilities to support the business. Lead cross-functional efforts to identify and implement technology and process solutions that drive efficiency, improve performance, and align with strategic business goals. Responsibilities
Actively supports the achievement of the business unit’s goals and objectives by applying expert knowledge of software technologies and project management methodologies. Collaborates across departments and supports consistent technical practices. Adheres to policies, procedures, and standards that protect the company’s interests. Promotes Teichert’s values to maintain a team spirit within the business unit and on project teams; works with other disciplines across company lines to ensure best use of Teichert resources. Promotes and protects the community perception of Teichert. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external customers; maintains a professional impression of the department and company. Conducts in-depth analysis of current business processes and recommends solutions for improvement and/or technology based on industry trends and professional business knowledge. Improves training and operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity across business units. Designs end-to-end business solutions and process improvements. Works with stakeholders to understand individual business needs and functions; identifies the right digital solutions (systems and analytics) for gaps. Coordinates vendor engagement efforts, demos, discussions to assess solution fit, and driver of vendor/product selection with cost analysis and long-term supportability considerations. Maps key data and reporting needs from key enterprise processes and maintains alignment as processes evolve. Oversees implementation projects from initiation to completion. Uses data analysis and other tools to uncover impactful insights. Maintains and prioritizes product backlogs with stakeholders; champions new project investments to enable the business digitally. Leads comprehensive business requirements gathering across multiple business units. Performs gap analysis between current and future state processes. Develops business cases with ROI analysis and cost-benefit assessments. Leads medium to complex projects from initiation through implementation. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Experience & Industry Expertise: At least 5-10 years in an information systems environment; experience in construction or materials business operations is desired; strong understanding of construction operations methodologies and processing. Specific Job Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of software systems processes and procedures and project management methodologies; advanced understanding of software systems functionality including applications, interfaces and database structures; ability to train personnel in software systems; strong research skills; excellent verbal communication and public speaking; ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work in a team and lead meetings; SQL, Power BI, Visio or similar skills preferred. Key Competencies: Relationship Understanding, Business Acumen, Communication, Organization and Time Management, Technical competence in business or finance, Microsoft Office Suite. Employment details
