Overview
CYBERSECURITY ARCHITECT SR, FCH - IT - SECURITY at Froedtert Health. This is a senior technical leadership role within the Cybersecurity Department responsible for defining, evolving, and guiding the implementation of cybersecurity architecture across all major domains—identity, network, endpoint, data, cloud, application, and emerging technologies such as AI and IoT. The position collaborates with IT, clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to ensure security is embedded in the design of every system and transformation effort. Responsibilities
Define, evolve, and guide cybersecurity architecture across key domains (identity, network, endpoint, data, cloud, application, and emerging technologies). Partner with leaders across the health system to develop secure, scalable, and resilient solutions aligned to industry frameworks, compliance mandates, and threat intelligence. Work with enterprise stakeholders to ensure security is embedded in the design of systems and transformation efforts. Experience & Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field required. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST, HITRUST, ISO 27001. Strong knowledge of laws and regulations such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, HITECH. Experience with architecture methodologies such as SABSA, Zachman, TOGAF. Strong knowledge of security infrastructure technologies (firewalls, IPS, WAFs, endpoint protection, SIEMs, log management). Domain Expertise (required in at least one core focus area): Incident Response, Incident Response Planning, Cyber Defense: building and maturing SOC, SIEMs, UEBA, threat detection engineering, incident response plans, playbooks, TTXs, threat intelligence, forensics, purple teaming, incident readiness. Identity & Access Management (IAM): modern enterprise IAM strategy, lifecycle automation and governance; tools such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SailPoint, CyberArk; RBAC design, identity fabric, JML, PAM, and federation for clinical/non-clinical identities. Cloud Security: securing workloads across multi-cloud environments; cloud-native controls; zero trust architecture and workload segmentation in hybrid-cloud. Infrastructure & Network Security: securing hybrid infrastructures, segmentation, NAC, firewalls, secure remote access, EDR/XDR; healthcare OT and medical device network security knowledge is a plus. GRC: risk frameworks aligned with NIST CSF, HIPAA, PCI-DSS; risk quantification, control maturity, third-party risk, audit support, policy development for healthcare. Note: 10 or more years of experience in a related field is preferred. Additional items include IAM design, vulnerability management, threat modeling, ITIL-related services (Change, Configuration, Asset, Incident, Problem management, etc.). Experience securing applications/infrastructures in AWS and/or Azure. Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required, or the equivalent through education/experience. Special Skills

Pay is expected to be between $53.57 - $91.64 per hour. Final compensation based on experience and discussed with the recruiter during the interview.
