You will handle complex litigation and coverage issues, including long-tail bodily injury, property damage, Coverage B of CGL policies, environmental, and toxic tort claims. You will manage emerging risks related to PFAS, opioids, and other new issues. As a coverage resource, you will support adjusters, managers, and underwriters, with backing from a dedicated management team focused on achieving optimal outcomes. Evaluate coverage on sophisticated insurance products Hire and manage counsel for coverage evaluation and defense Assess damages with outside experts Evaluate financial impacts on AIG and insureds Develop and execute strategies for favorable resolution; negotiate with insureds and third parties Advise business partners on exposures and product changes Guide claims and business leaders on emerging risks Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Legal, Insurance, Construction Defect, or Environmental fields (preferred) Ability to handle complex claims involving GL and Environmental policies Strong analytical, organizational, communication, negotiation, and investigative skills Veterans are encouraged to apply Based on location, the salary ranges are: Jersey City, NJ: $96,000-$129,000; Illinois: $104,600-$127,600, with bonus eligibility.
