Position Summary: Implements the work unit’s goal and objectives by providing support with estimating major plumbing and mechanical projects and performing field verification for RCS project managers and Facilities Mechanical Engineers and develop plumbing and mechanical design for RCS projects and single trade jobs. All work is designed and is compliant with the International Plumbing, Mechanical, and Building codes, and the University Building standards. This includes but is not limited to the maintenance, repair, removal and replacement of plumbing and mechanical systems and/or associated equipment and components. Provide construction and remodeling of existing space and systems to meet the ever-changing needs of the University. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials: CO Licensed Master or Journey Level Plumber Preferred Qualifications: The highly desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, personal characteristics, and experience directly related and critical to this position: Experience in higher education Experience in institutional or commercial plumbing Blue print comprehension and experience Estimating and material take off experience Directly related state service experience Essential Job Duties: Estimating: Assists Pipe Mechanical Trades III /Supervisors with high demand of estimating for plumbing and mechanical work based on engineered design. (20%) Engineering/Design Support: Assists Facilities Management Engineering group with field verification duties of existing conditions and limitations duties required for successful design for RCS projects. (30%) Trades Support: Provide Licensed level support in the field as required and other duties as assigned.
