University of Alaska Southeast Sitka . The UAS Financial Aid office is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to help students pay for their educational expenses. This position uses technical financial aid programs designed to assist students pay for their educational expenses. This fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving program is a good fit for candidates with a strong customer service background and a passion for helping students achieve their goals. To be successful in this role, a candidate must be detail-oriented, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and proficient in using various computer programs and applications. The ability to quickly learn new systems, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks is essential. Strong problem‑solving skills, flexibility in finding alternative solutions, and the ability to understand complex issues are also important. This position requires clear and professional communication across multiple formats, including written correspondence, phone, video conferencing, and in-person interactions. Responsibilities

Assist students with paying educational expenses using financial aid programs Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly across multiple formats (written, phone, video, in‑person) Learn and use various computer programs and applications; quickly adapt to new systems Manage time effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team Identify and resolve problems by understanding complex financial aid issues Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience Detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team Proficient in using computer programs and applications; ability to learn new systems quickly Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility in finding alternative solutions Clear and professional communication across multiple formats Position Details

Location: Juneau campus, University of Alaska Southeast Status: Full-time, non-exempt Compensation: Salary range $53,144 – $55,307; full benefits package including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays, tuition waivers, and health coverage Salary placement: New hires on UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience Application review: Rolling basis until a successful candidate is identified How to Apply / Contact
