Webster Bank . The Relationship Manager – Law Firm Business Banking is a remote position responsible for cultivating and growing a portfolio of business clients within the target segment. They will manage a portfolio of existing business relationships, with a strong focus on new business development, client acquisition, expansion of existing relationships, and client retention. They will collaborate with the team to execute against our segment strategy and contribute to net deposit growth, loan production, and revenue-generating products and services. They will work with bank partners within their assigned markets to deliver an excellent client experience and identify growth opportunities throughout the business banking segment.
Responsibilities
Contribute to growth of the segment by executing against the segment strategy and achieving growth goals in core KPIs: new to bank business relationships, deposit growth, loan production, treasury management, and overall fee income.
Develop and maintain a network of business contacts, COIs, community leaders, and other referral sources to generate new business relationships and revenue; manage and grow the pipeline in line with production expectations.
Collaborate with Team Leader, Sr. Relationship Managers, Banking Centers, and cross-line of business colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience and drive value; listen to client needs and identify growth opportunities.
Source opportunities and present effective credit proposals/memos; negotiate quality loans with senior leadership and credit as appropriate.
Identify and cross-sell treasury management and other value-added solutions to clients.
Ensure operational integrity by complying with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of specific Business Banking Relationship Management sales experience, developing and managing business relationships; 5+ years managing relationships/banking experience preferred.
Understanding of treasury management products and services; ability to identify TM needs and offer solutions.
Experience in business/commercial credit, financial analysis techniques, and lending policy; ability to package and present credit deals up to $2MM Total Credit Exposure.
Proven track record in business development, commercial loan origination, and relationship management skills.
Advanced degrees (Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s) preferred; high school diploma or GED required. Combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience eligible for consideration.
Strong relationship management skills, pipeline development, COI relationships, and ability to develop new business relationships.
Commercial lending experience with ability to analyze, package, and present financing opportunities to senior leadership and credit.
Knowledge of business banking, bank profitability, commercial lending, and treasury management products; general understanding of operations (audit, compliance, fraud, loss, risk).
Entrepreneurial business development orientation and strong business development capabilities.
The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
