Overview

monday.com is looking for a Global Communications Team Lead to lead our external communications efforts and media relations team. This person will drive media relations, crisis and reputation management, executive messaging, and work closely with the investor relations team. The ideal candidate will have deep B2B tech knowledge, experience leading communications teams at a product, SaaS and/or public company, and a passion for media relations. As our Global Team Lead, you’ll work closely with every part of our company to build our media presence across the 8 countries we operate in (North America, EMEA, LATAM & APJ) and help build and scale a global strategy supporting product, corporate, consumer, and enterprise news worldwide. Please note this is a hybrid position of 3 days/week in our NYC office.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development: Manage and develop a diverse global communications team, fostering a culture of strategic excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

Media Relations Strategy & Execution: Partner closely with stakeholders across the company to develop comprehensive media relations strategies that align with monday.com’s overall communication and business goals. Focus on securing high-profile placements and cultivating long-term relationships with top-tier media.

Strategic Planning & Alignment: Contribute to the development of departmental goals and establish metrics for success, working collaboratively with the team. Provide high-level analysis of media trends, campaign effectiveness, and ROI to senior management. Lead initiatives on the Comms and Marketing teams to leverage AI to scale efforts and increase impact.

Crisis & Reputation Management: Provide counsel and support to the monday.com team regarding brand awareness and crisis management; develop timely reactive responses as needed.

Financial Communications: Collaborate with IR and legal teams, driving media strategy for earnings and financial moments in time.

Agency Management: Help manage external agency relations.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in media relations for tech companies (some agency experience preferred).

Proven leadership with the ability to rally teams and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including founders, product, sales, customer success, partners, marketing, HR, and engineering teams.

Brilliant storyteller and skilled communicator who can construct powerful narratives to advance brand and reputation.

Experience building and maintaining media connections across the US.

Solid tech, business, and vertical-specific media experience to elevate the brand.

Outcomes-focused with the ability to prioritize strategy and guide teams toward high-impact initiatives.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance strategic thinking with execution.
