Overview
Network/Computer Systems Administrator (Journeyman) role at Cherokee Federal. We are seeking a skilled Network/Computer Systems Administrator (Journeyman) to provide full-time on-site support at Curtis Bay, MD. This role focuses on help desk and cyber surge support, ensuring reliable IT operations across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong troubleshooting expertise, experience with Windows environments, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and maintain compliance with Coast Guard IT standards. Responsibilities
Provide customer support for enterprise-wide logistics and Coast Guard-specific systems Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and software issues, primarily within Windows and MS Office Suite Maintain configuration management records for IT assets, including acquisition, use, and disposal Manage hardware and software requests, installations, and procurement coordination Support telecommunications services, including phones, voicemail, mobile devices, fax, VTC, and telecommuting tools Monitor daily IT and telecom operations and evaluate service effectiveness Performs other job-related duties as assigned Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities
Journeyman-level experience in network/computer systems administration Strong background in IT customer support, system troubleshooting, and enterprise systems Experience with Microsoft Windows environments and MS Office Suite Favorable fingerprint check and Tier 1 background investigation required for issuance of DoD CAC Must comply with Coast Guard contractor personnel background, access standards, and non-disclosure agreements Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Compensation & Benefits
Estimated Starting Salary Range for
