Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Required Certifications: ARRT CT, BLS Must-Have: ARRT CT certification in hand at time of submission Description: Must have relevant experience in a Level I trauma center. Experience with complex cases is preferred. Daily caseload per tech will vary. First-timers are accepted. Every other weekend coverage is required. No on-call duty is required. Candidates will float within their scope to meet facility needs. Candidates must not reside within a 75-mile radius. Pending state licenses are not accepted. RTO restrictions are in place: no more than 7 days within the 13-week contract. Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings is required. PACS and contrast experience are necessary skills. IV starts, portables, and biopsies experience is preferred. Required CT procedure experience includes abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction. Preferred CT procedure experience includes aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies. Travelers may float within the service line. Special Equipment includes Siemens scanners. Facility type: short-term acute care, teaching, and Level I trauma center. Work setting experience in a community hospital, level I trauma center, or teaching hospital is preferred. All candidates must have valid certifications submitted properly. References are required during the application process. Candidates must be aware of policies regarding background checks. No medical marijuana cards are accepted. Travelers who obtained their degree outside of the U.S. must comply with extended licensing requirements. Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as travelers. Standard travelers may stay for an 18-month period, followed by a 3-month break. Allied and non-clinical travelers can stay for a 12-month period, followed by a 6-month break in service. Each application must comply with specific job requirements as outlined for differing units. Completion of required modules is necessary before the contract start date.
