Opening Fall 2025, Omni Fort Lauderdale will provide South Florida with 120,000 square feet of event space, new food and beverage options, a Natural Spring inspired full-service spa and entertainment pedestrian plaza featuring high-end shopping, amphitheater, charter boat docking and a beautiful promenade. The new iconic landmark offers unforgettable views of the Atlantic paired with unrivalled convenience and intelligently designed meeting spaces. The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center, immediately adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport. The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story property located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, with 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center, and more than 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function space with waterfront views. Responsibilities
Be thoroughly acquainted with all check-in and check-out procedures and policies. Be thoroughly acquainted with the AM and PM checklist. Serve as a main liaison between guests and the hotel. Protect confidential guest information and guest room key access according to front office SOPs. Be thoroughly acquainted with Ideal Services Operator duties. Be familiar with the Phone and Alarm System in the Ideal Services Operator department. Respond to guest requests and concerns, following the service recovery process. Be knowledgeable of Front Office, Guest Services and Ideal Services Moments of Service and execute to standard. Be familiar with Front Office systems (Opera, GoConcierge, Synergy, SALTO, Two-Way Radio Dispatch, ISD Firepanel). Understand hotel rate plans and rate codes; assist with rate changes as needed. Train new associates. Be familiar with shift checklists and run the desk in the absence of the Assistant Manager. Understand and perform rooms control duties. Familiar with reservation special packages. Greet guests pleasantly using surnames when obtained. Maintain Four Diamond standard of guest services. Engage with guests, identify needs, and aim to exceed expectations. Be familiar with local attractions and on-site venues; recommend on-site venues first. Know hotel amenities and facilities, including Wireless Internet, Select Guest Program, GHA Discovery, Laundry Services, Omni Kids Program, F&B outlets, Business Center, Fitness Center, pool, meeting spaces, and parking. Understand inter-department relationships and work collaboratively with teams (Ideal Services, Guest Services, Housekeeping, F&B Outlets, Banquets, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing). Attend staff meetings and training; understand Medallia scores. Maintain professional phone etiquette and appearance; protect company assets and adhere to safety policies. Deliver personalized guest experiences using the Power of One and understand Moments of Service scenarios. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year Front Office or Guest Service experience required; hospitality leadership experience may be considered. Strong understanding of front office procedures required. Previous cash handling experience required. Clear and courteous English communication (verbal and written) with guests, management and colleagues. Ability to work cohesively with diverse teams and handle multiple arrivals/departures. Strong mathematical and computational skills. Ability to stay composed under pressure and deliver friendly service. Proficiency with computer systems; OPERA experience a plus. Ability to train and develop staff; lead by example. Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical ability to move, lift up to 30 pounds; stand or walk for extended periods. Environment & Tools
