This is an Operations position responsible for directing the activities associated with inbound and outbound warehouse operations. Responsibilities include directing activities related to product receiving, product replenishment, order selection, order loading, expense and revenue management; ensuring abidance of government regulations; providing management and direction to warehouse staff; and ensuring safety and security of the inbound and outbound warehouse departments. Responsibilities

Direct daily operations for Inbound and Outbound Warehouse managers, supervisors and associates, including safety oversight. Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget and work schedules; adjust shifts as needed. Supervise selection, purchase and utilization of company assets to support warehouse operations. Coordinate with other departments to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently. Develop business relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., lumping services) to ensure communication and efficient operations. Maintain current insurance certificates and hold harmless agreements for contracted vendors. Review shipping and loading audits daily; ensure documentation (including HACCP, food safety, catch-weight documentation) is accurate and that material handling and storage minimize loss. Prepare budgets, profit plans and capital requests as required. Evaluate metrics and adjust activities to meet or exceed performance expectations. Suggest efficiency ideas, cost-reduction measures and assist with implementing changes in inbound and outbound operations. Identify problems, propose solutions, and coordinate with other departments to promote cooperation. Ensure use and updating of receiving, selection and loading software systems. Maintain associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings; keep open communication and monitor morale. Respond to questions and explain policies and procedures; submit ideas to improve engagement and enablement. Interpret, train and consistently enforce company policies and procedures. Coordinate with Safety department for training, associate observations, updating methods, accident investigations and safety inspections. Make recommendations for disciplinary action when required; manage staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and terminations. Perform the duties of supervised associates and related duties as needed. Comply with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA, etc.). Qualifications

Education Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Experience 7 years of related experience and/or training. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months. Professional Skills Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English; read, analyze and interpret business or regulatory documents. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present information to groups. Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software; ability to learn Sysco technology. Excellent computer skills; able to manage deadlines and work under pressure. Experience leading meetings and collaborating with peers from multiple departments. Consistent application of policies, procedures and safety regulations; ability to follow established processes and procedures. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage a deadline-driven environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Demands Regularly talk or hear; stand, walk, sit; use hands; reach with arms; climb or balance. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus). Working Conditions Exposure to wet, hot, extreme cold or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts. Non-traditional hours including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call; occasional travel to other locations. Occasional exposure to high places and fumes or airborne particles; moderate noise level.
