What you will do

Ensure high-quality products are fresh, ready, and available in the café

Ensure shelves are clean, maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser-quality food products

Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays

Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food

Maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area

Responsibilities and day-to-day activities

Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate with team members; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.

Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; plan future productions and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution.

Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.

Be an Owner: Drive area performance; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying needs; assist with purchasing decisions and resolving issues.

Be a Talent Ambassador: Act as a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others; support a respectful and team-oriented environment; assist in training others.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives and possible premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
