GNC\'s Store Manager in Training (SMIT) position is a development-focused role that prepares an individual to manage their own store. Under the leadership of a Store Manager or District Manager, this hands-on program teaches the skills and knowledge needed to operate a store, drive for results, and develop and lead a team. We are seeking a dynamic individual who embodies GNC\'s "Live Well" philosophy and is passionate about helping customers with tailored and innovative solutions. What You\'ll Do

As a SMIT, you will be groomed for promotion from SMIT to Store Manager. Lead, coach, and support the team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers. Oversee daily store operations in collaboration with a Store Manager or District Manager, including business performance and product management. Represent the GNC brand by offering expert product knowledge and promoting the "Live Well" message. Responsibilities

Engage with your leader in training initiatives, projects, and goals to support you on your path to promotion during the program. Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships that lead to sales and repeat business (e.g., MYGNC Rewards). Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping sales associates realize their sales potential. Build strong teams, provide feedback on performance, recruit, hire, and manage performance. Open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits per procedures. Attend community events to promote the organization\'s mission and initiatives. Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager. At the end of 90 days, performance will be assessed to determine eligibility for promotion, considering factors such as performance, openings, and willingness to locate promotions within the designated market. Environmental Factors & Working Schedule

Stand or walk for up to eight hours a day; frequent reaching, bending, and twisting. Repetitive hand-to-finger motions; lift up to 20 pounds frequently, up to 40 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 20 lbs. Ability to climb ladders, reach and bend; work in temperatures 50-85 degrees, especially in stock rooms. Use of a computer up to 60% of the day. SMITs are expected to work five (5) days / forty (40) hours per week and adhere to guidelines below. SMITs of mall and strip center stores must work at least two weeknights until closing, one weekend night, and one other night. Strip center SMITs must also work a full shift on Saturdays. Mall SMITs should work peak business days including weekends (Saturday & Sunday). SMITs should work a minimum of one full Sunday per month. Downtown SMITs must work during lunch hours (11am–2pm) Monday through Friday and one weekly evening shift if open; Saturdays not required for downtown stores. SMITs are expected to work all major U.S. holidays the store is open. Benefits Offerings
