Faculty members in the Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics follow a teacher/scholar model in accordance with AACSB standards. About The Position The MVS School of Business and Economics is seeking applications for temporary faculty to prepare and teach one or more sections of Business Communication courses at the undergraduate level. Minimum Degree Requirements Masters degree with a focus in English Composition, Business, Communication, or a related discipline. Required Qualifications

The minimum degree requirements above; Demonstrated preparation for teaching Business Communication at a university level; Applicants should demonstrate the commitment to effectively work with and engage a diverse student population and evidence of how they would successfully mentor minoritized students with special focus on Latinx, Black/African American, American Indian, and Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander students. Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in English Composition, Business, Communication, or in a related discipline; 5+ years full-time work experience; Work/consulting experience in private or public sector related to Business Communications; A record of effective teaching. Responsibilities Teach one or more classes as assigned and as student demand allows. Conduct and turn in assessment activities as outlined each semester. Compensation California State University Lecturer Salary (Academic Year) Schedules (anticipated hiring ranges):
