Cyber Operations Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We're looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your knowledge in enterprise vulnerability management programs across cloud-based infrastructures and impact our nation's defense. In this role, you'll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions. You will leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to our customer's mission area. This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership or commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for identifying, analyzing, and driving remediation of security vulnerabilities in alignment with DoD cybersecurity standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. Your role will be vital in the development of operation plans to support command and control. You Have: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations 3+ years of experience as a STIG Manager Administrator 3+ years of experience scripting a programming such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash Experience with vulnerability management monitoring activities using AWS Inspector, Neuvector, STIGs, or ACAS, including Tenable.sc or Nessus Experience implementing and evaluating NIST SP 800-53 security controls and supporting RMF processes Experience with compliance systems such as eMASS, STIG Viewer, and SCAP tools Knowledge of how to interpret and apply STIGs to support secure configuration baselines, remediation plans, and POA & M lifecycle management Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam Bachelor's degree DoD 8570 Certification such as CISSP, CASP+, or AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Nice If You Have: Experience implementing and configuring STIG Manager for a new environment Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security or similar orchestration tools Experience with technical writing Ability to create and maintain vulnerability dashboards, compliance reports, and audit-ready documentation Possession of excellent writing and communication skills to support findings, reports, and remediation plans TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Bachelor's degree in an IT or Cybersecurity field AWS Security or Cloud Security Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
