NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene . The Division of Family and Child Health (DFCH) oversees programs and services that support healthy development for NYC families and children. The Early Intervention Program (EIP) provides therapeutic services to infants and children with developmental delays and coordinates IFSP meetings and related processes. Responsibilities
Conduct Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings in accordance with EI regulations and policies. Apply regulations, rate methodologies, and billing rules related to the IFSP process; uphold the rights of families. Chair IFSP meetings, facilitating discussion among parents, evaluators, and service coordinators; interpret NYS DOH and DMH procedures for the IFSP process. Ensure completion of all documentation related to evaluations and the IFSP process (e.g., six-month updates, annual reviews, amendments) and submit paperwork timely and accurately. Ensure accurate completion of procedures per NYC Policy and Procedure Manual and NY State Regulations; use the EI Hub for data entry and case processing as defined by policy and regulation. Communicate with providers, families, service coordinators and colleagues; respond to messages promptly and maintain professional communication; report concerns and request technical assistance as needed. Attend regulatory meetings and, as assigned, mediation or fair hearings; perform other assignments as necessary. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Social Sciences, Health Care, or related fields; plus four years of progressive experience in health care program planning, research, design, operation, evaluation, and analysis; or A master’s degree in Public Health, Public/Hospital Administration, or related fields; plus three years of relevant experience; or Satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience; and Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication.
