As an
Executive Sales Underwriter - Inland Marine , you will build and maintain relationships, drive written premium growth, and maintain renewal retention goals while delivering a high degree of customer satisfaction within the assigned territory. Underwriting Analysis, Coverage, and Pricing skills
Proficiency assessing intricate risks across various industries utilizing historical data and industry trends to make well-informed decisions devising comprehensive risk management plans. Interpret complex financial data, evaluate financial stability and use financial insights to guide risk assessments and pricing strategies. Strong knowledge of loss prevention tactics to collaborate with risk engineering professionals for the purpose of devising loss prevention programs and risk mitigation solutions. Developing complex policies that balance comprehensive coverage with accurate pricing, effective utilization of endorsements and specialized coverage options. Ability to align coverages offered with appropriately developed coverage terms, limits and pricing based on strong aptitude and understanding of all coverage components. Underwriting & Compliance
Engaging appropriate resources and internal and external stakeholders at the appropriate times to deliver the best possible outcome in line with company standards. Continuous improvement mindset and offers suggestions for efficiencies. Insurance law and regulations, to ensure that policies meet legal requirements, and provides guidance on complex compliance issues. Expertise in creating detailed and organized documentation that clearly outlines underwriting decisions. Sales Acumen
Account service, account management, cross-selling, business development, marketing strategy and positioning, negotiations, prospecting and qualifying, solution development, and competitive analysis. Distribution Management
Consultative and relationship management skills needed to build strong relationships with agency partners to drive profitable submissions. Prepare for and conduct effective agency review meetings that serve the goals of BFM and agent partners. Qualifications
What you'll need to have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent job-related experience. 7+ years insurance underwriting experience. 7+ years of monoline Inland Marine insurance underwriting experience. Successful history of production underwriting. Excellent relationship management and strategic sales acumen. Able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment. Strong collaboration, customer focus and critical thinking skills. Ability to travel up to 25%. Valid driver's license. Sponsorship Details
