UpRys is looking for two Fractional CFOs that are currently independent contractors. This is a consulting opportunity with UpRys.

As Fractional CFO, you will be working with clients to provides senior-level financial leadership and oversight to ensure our clients' financial health and sustainability.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational goals and long-term sustainability.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide executive decision-making.
Advise on funding strategies, investment opportunities, and capital structure.
Support strategic initiatives such as program expansion, or business scaling.
Oversee financial forecasting, long-term planning, and scenario modeling.
Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
Partner with leadership to set financial targets and measure performance.
Lead annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning.
Present clear, timely financial reports and dashboards to leadership and the Board/ownership.
Ensure accurate reporting of revenues, expenses, and funding sources.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and risk management practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and audit requirements:
Nonprofit:
IRS Form 990, grant compliance, donor restrictions, nonprofit GAAP. Small Business:
Federal/state tax compliance, lender/investor reporting, industry regulations. Coordinate audits, reviews, and relationships with auditors, funders, and financial institutions. Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support operations and growth. Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director/CEO and the Board/owners. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA and/or CPA preferred). 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with CFO or senior financial management background. Demonstrated success in nonprofit finance, small business finance, or both. Currently lives in the Columbus Metropolitan Area.
