Role Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled and strategically minded Director to lead the design, development, and implementation of investment and ALM models used to guide key decisions on asset allocation, hedging, and portfolio strategy. This role will also play a key part in our ongoing migration of modeling capabilities to the Beacon platform, helping build a modernized analytics infrastructure for ALM and investment projections.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong programming and data skills, experience in asset modeling and investment strategy, and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to a range of stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end development of investment and ALM projection models using Python and SQL, from data sourcing through results visualization
Support the transition of asset projection capabilities into the Beacon platform, partnering with team members across actuarial, investments, and finance
Develop and maintain models and analytics to support hedging decisions, asset allocation, pricing and reinvestment strategies, and risk-return optimization
Automate and streamline model processes to enable repeatable, efficient insights generation
Build dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau to communicate findings and support decision-making
Collaborate with business partners across teams to align model outputs with enterprise needs
Present findings and technical insights in a clear, concise way to senior leadership and non-technical audiences
Serve as a project lead in a matrixed environment, with potential to manage a small team of junior developers or analysts
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in analytical toolsets and modeling practices
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, financial, or technical discipline; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Financial Engineering) preferred
6+ years of experience in asset modeling, investment analytics, or financial engineering
Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL; experience building data pipelines and scalable model infrastructure
Experience with Tableau or similar visualization/reporting tools
Understanding of fixed income investments, strategic asset allocation, and hedging principles
Experience owning model development lifecycle from design to deployment
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with cross-functional partners and senior leaders
Experience leading junior team members or projects in a matrixed setting
Highly adaptable, intellectually curious, and motivated by solving real-world financial and business problems
Experience with Beacon modeling platform a plus
CFA designation or progress toward a CFA a plus

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $116,000-$166,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
