Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Rocky Mount, NC for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Nash County Public Schools, including financial planning, financial reporting, and financial statements. The CFO will also conduct comprehensive financial analysis, ensure compliance with governmental regulations, and manage the district’s budget to ensure fiscal responsibility. Additionally, the CFO will work closely with the superintendent and other senior administrators to support the district’s strategic goals.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Financial Planning, Financial Statements, and Financial Reporting
Proficiency in Finance and possession of strong Analytical Skills
Excellent leadership and management capabilities
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local school finance regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
CPA or CMA certification is a plus
