Position Overview: The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced
Linux Systems Administrator
to support our Space Systems team. This is a full-time, on-site position at our facility. Responsibilities include: Primary Linux Systems Administrator for a classified government contract. Effective communication across all organization levels. Maintain multi-user computer systems, coordinate with various technical teams. Support multiple networks, ensure administrative tasks are completed. Analyze requirements, determine hardware/software needs. Implement system enhancements for performance and reliability. Manage backups, recovery, file systems, and security measures. Create and modify user accounts and permissions. Test new product releases for compatibility. Develop and document technical processes. Recommend hardware/software purchases. Engage with vendors for troubleshooting and evaluation. Adhere to security guidelines and maintain security logs. Prepare security documentation and report project status. Work independently to develop solutions. Basic Qualifications: Relevant degree with experience (see original for specifics). Must hold DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE). Linux support experience, including workstation and server management. Experience with classified environments and security clearances. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's in IT, Security+ CE, Linux+ or RHCSA, and 5+ years Linux admin experience. Networking knowledge, Cisco certs, Windows management skills, scripting experience. We offer flexible work, learning opportunities, diverse projects, and comprehensive benefits.
