In This Job, You Will
Lead data (internal research) driven costing strategies, analyses and solutions for complex capture and business shaping efforts.
Develop estimating factors, regression analysis and estimating relationships from company data.
Support Analysis-of-Alternatives (AoAs), Business Case Analyses (BCAs), affordability initiatives, should-cost exercises, engineering trade analyses and Design-to-Cost (DTC).
Initiate and lead cost studies to generate metrics and analysis for business use.
Organize and estimate new efforts generating ROMs, BPEs, or cost targets for large/complex efforts.
Perform data collection, normalization, and analysis.
Utilize proprietary and commercial models and software tools.
Provide data visualization and relational analysis.
Develop and manage relationships with technical (engineering) staff.
Support the Sector historical cost and technical database.
Identify and evaluate risk and opportunities in cost estimates, terms and conditions, and other business management functions.
Support and assist Independent Cost Evaluations (ICE) in governance and risk management processes.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience in Cost Modeling and Data Engineering – OR – Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 1+ years of professional experience in Cost Modeling and Data Engineering.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and guide projects to completion.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of functions and people.
Active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in business management and labor and non-labor cost estimating.
Experience working in space systems programs.
Experience with parametric estimating techniques and principles.
Experience using industry tools such as SEER, Crystal Ball, ACE-IT, USCM.
Advanced Excel skills and data visualization tools (Tableau and/or Power BI).
Experience with languages and tools such as R, Python, ML models, etc.
Knowledge of quantitative risk techniques, cost and risk modeling, and government contracts.
Database design/SQL experience; aerospace industry experience.

Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $121,900.00. The salary range is a guideline; actual offers depend on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability, savings plan, holidays and PTO. Some roles may have overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus; some VP/Director levels may be eligible for long-term incentives.
