Full-time, Hybrid (minimum 3 days/week in office) LHH is seeking a Communications Director on behalf of a forward-thinking organization that values creativity, collaboration, and impact. This is a unique opportunity for a communications leader who enjoys both strategy and hands-on work, and who is energized by a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a resourceful storyteller and relationship builder, comfortable navigating a variety of audiences and channels. You’ll play a key role in shaping the organization’s voice, supporting leadership, and driving engagement across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute communications strategies that support organizational objectives Advise leadership and staff on messaging, media relations, and public engagement Coordinate campaigns and initiatives across digital, print, and social media Build and maintain relationships with media, partners, and industry contacts Respond to emerging issues and manage communications during high-visibility situations Write and edit content for web, social, press releases, and presentations Oversee website updates and collaborate with creative partners on visual content Monitor communications performance and manage related budgets Support events, meetings, and thought leadership opportunities Prepare materials and presentations for internal and external audiences, including board meetings Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public policy, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in a communications or public affairs role (corporate, agency, or association) Demonstrated ability to lead campaigns and manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience with media relations and crisis communications Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication tools Collaborative, self-motivated, and able to work independently Experience with social media strategy and analytics is a plus Background in consumer products, public policy, or related sectors is helpful but not required Compensation / Benefits: Competitive salary: $110,000+ DOE Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k with match, cell phone reimbursement, professional development support) Flexible hybrid work environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The organization considers all qualified applicants in accordance with applicable laws.
